I got trip alerts right when I needed them, which was surprising in the best way. Nice to have notifications that do something other than annoy me

"Helpful guides, but they really need to update things"
I use roadtrippers mostly for the travel guides, they can be useful. I’ve found a few cool stops I never would’ve known about otherwise. But it’s annoying when some of the info is outdated, because that’s on them to keep it accurate if people are relying on it for trip planning. Overall it still helps, but they need to do a better job keeping things current.

I used the roadtrippers app on my weekend trip, i went in thinking it might be kind of annoying to use. But nope, total mood change after a few minutes. Adding stops was simple, checking the route on my phone was smooth, and I didn’t have to keep dragging and zooming around the map like I usually do. It made planning the drive way less of a hassle. Super handy little app...

"Directions missed the mark 😕"
I wanted to like it, but the directions were wrong way too often. It got frustrating after a while, especially when I was relying on it to get me where I needed to go. 😬

"Solid planner, but the map handoff can be annoying"
I actually do like using Roadtrippers to plan out a route, so I’m not trying to trash the app or anything. It’s handy for building the trip and keeping track of stops, but sending everything over to Google Maps or Apple Maps isn’t always smooth.
Some stops move over just fine, and then randomly others have to be opened one at a time, which gets old fast when I’m already driving or trying to get going. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it definitely slows things down, and if that outside navigation handoff worked better, I’d probably rate it higher

"Helpful for a weekend drive, but not perfect"
I tried it out on a weekend drive and, for the most part, it made the trip easier. We had our route set, snacks packed, and just followed along without thinking too much. Most of the drive went smoothly, but there were a couple of moments where the stops it suggested didn’t really make sense, and the timing was a bit off. It wasn’t a huge problem, but we did have to pause and double-check things a few times. Overall, it was still helpful and I’d use it again, just not without keeping an eye on the details.

"Pretty Good Overall"
It works good and does what I need it to do without much hassle. I was expecting it to be just okay, but it actually surprised me. Wait, why is that so rare these days? Anyway, yeah, I’m happy with it

"Maps were off for newer spots"
I ran into a few issues where the maps didn’t have newer places listed correctly, which made it frustrating to use. I get that updates take time, but it’s annoying when you’re trying to find somewhere and the info is just wrong. Also, the reminders felt way too aggressive, like it kept pushing me when I didn’t really need it.

"Refund was handled, but cancellation felt unclear"
I thought I had cancelled, so seeing the charge come through definitely made me feel a bit uneasy and a little distrustful after paying. I contacted support and they got back to me within a day, and thankfully they processed the refund without making it a huge hassle. I do wish the cancellation process was more obvious, but in the end they handled it fairly

"Made road trip planning way easier"
I grabbed the subscription before a long road trip it paid for itself fast. Being able to plan our stops, campgrounds, random weird roadside stuff, and keep it all saved in one place made the whole trip way less stressfull. I used to jump between like five different apps and maps, which got annoying quick. If you’re only doing one tiny trip, maybe it’s not worth it, but if you take a few trips a year, it’s a good value. I’m definitley keeping mine for next summer too.

"Helpful for family trip planning, just a little clunky"
I’ve been using roadtrippers to share trip plans with my family, when I’m in planning mode, it’s such a relief to have everyone see the route and stops in one place. It cuts down on all the constant texting, which I definitely appreciate. That said, the collaboration side can be a bit frustrating when I’m already trying to juggle a bunch of trip details. Sometimes updates don’t show up right away, and it’s not always obvious who changed what. It’s still a useful app, but it has those little clunky moments that can get annoying.

"Made My Road Trip Planning Way Easier"
I really liked how easy it was for me to move stops around and add random places I found along the route. The itinerary customization worked well, it saved me from bouncing between three different apps, which I hate doing. A couple of times the timing felt a little off, but overall it made planning my road trip way less annoying

"Helpful for figuring out gas money"
I used Roadtrippers for a weekend drive, or maybe it was the weekend before last, I’m mixing up the timing a bit. Either way, the fuel cost estimate ended up being close. It wasn’t perfect since gas prices changed a little by the time I actually left, but it definitely helped me get a rough budget together ahead of the trip. Easy to use overall. I’d give it 4 stars...

"Helpful for quick planning, but the free plan feels limited"
I started using Roadtrippers a few months ago when I was trying to plan a quick weekend getaway, and it was really handy for coming up with trip ideas fast. I liked being able to map things out and find stops along the way without spending a ton of time searching. After using it a few more times, though, I noticed the free plan limits how many stops you can add, which gets frustrating quickly. It’s still useful, especially for simple trips, but I do wish you could do just a little more without having to pay

"Pretty handy for random finds"
I’ve used it a few times when I didn’t really know where to go, and it’s actually been good for finding random places nearby. I’m not sure if I’m using it the best way, but it’s helped me stumble onto a couple spots I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise.

"I really wanted to like Roadtrippers but..."
I really wanted to like Roadtrippers but the reviews from other users were hit or miss for me. A lot of spots had super old comments or barely anything useful and I had a hard time figuring out what was actually worth stopping for. The route planning part was fine but I was hoping the real user tips would be more helpful. Most of the time I still ended up checking Google reviews anyway.

"Wish I’d printed my route sooner"
I exported my trip route and printed it out before I left, and I’m glad I did. My phone signal got spotty in a few places, and the paper copy really saved me. I kind of regret not doing this on past trips because it worked fine and made things a lot less stressful.

I was a little nervous about planning everything for my road trip, but the site made it simple. I had the route figured out quicker than I expected, and moving the maps and stops around was really easy. It was reassuring to see everything laid out clearly before I hit the road.
